heal the skin. It is a topical antibiotic cream that is applied directly to the
wound. It is available under many different brand names, including Silvadene,
Thermazene, and SSD Cream.
Silver
sulfadiazine helps the body fight infection and heal the wound. It can also be
used to prevent infection in skin areas that are prone to infections, such as
the groin area. This medicine can make the skin a little bit more sensitive to
the sun, so being in the sun when using this medicine should be avoided.
Infections caused by burns are common and can be serious if
not treated. Doctors will prescribe Silver
Sulfadiazine

keep the area clean and help prevent infection. This medicine can also help
remove dead tissue to speed healing.
This medication should be used on the area of skin that is affected
by the burn. It should never be applied to eyes, mouth, or other areas unless

Symptoms of an overdose of Silver Sulfadiazine
