Vetiver Oil is an essential oil that is extracted from the roots of vetiver, a plant that is native to India and is known for its perfumery and medicinal value since ancient times. It has a soothing and stabilizing scent, and thus, it is widely used in fragrances, and also used as a major constituent in around all fragrances. Vetiver oil is also used as a complementary treatment for depression, anxiety, and other mental health disorders PTSD (posttraumatic stress disorder) ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) due to oil’s soothing and calming aroma.

Vetiver Oil is a popular ingredient used in a variety of cosmetics and perfumes. Its antimicrobial properties make it useful in fighting bacterial and fungal infections. It also helps balance emotions and soothe dry skin. In addition to being a natural antiseptic, it also promotes the regeneration of skin cells, reducing the appearance of scars and providing healthy, radiant skin. The oil is excellent for creating soothing skin-supporting massage oils. It can be blended with rose, sandalwood, basil, or sandalwood oils. It also works well with citrus, grapefruit, and oakmoss.

Vetiver is native to Indian subcontinent, where it is grown as a commercial crop. Its best planting season is June-July. The plant can grow up to two meters and needs moist conditions to produce oil. Vetiver Oil is very aromatic and is used as an ingredient in a variety of cosmetic products. When used topically, it reduces the appearance of scars, stretch marks, and uneven skin tone. The oil also promotes healthy collagen production, helps keep skin looking young. However, before applying it on the face, do a patch test to see if it is suitable for the skin type.
