Automatic transmissions and most semi-automatic transmissions use these types of systems. Some vehicles are pure electric, meaning they use a battery to power the motor and are battery-powered. This is an emerging technology in automobiles, and the future of electric vehicles looks bright.

With these advancements in automotive technology, there is no better time to start a career in the field.

With the advent of autonomous driving and electric vehicles, the automotive industry is experiencing tremendous technological disruption. Leading manufacturers have responded by developing new automotive Electronics architectures that enable OTA updates and vehicle-feature downloads on demand. These new developments are creating a new generation of competition for automotive companies. The cost of developing new systems is also a concern, putting pressure on OEMs' R&D budgets. Therefore, companies must make smarter decisions in automotive Electronics.

The traditional automotive Electronics, remanufacturing technologies have also become popular. The new OEMs are extending their influence into the automotive industry, with many of them developing much of the software in-house. Other automakers will develop software directly with suppliers and form long-term strategic partnerships. All of these technologies have their downsides. The future will bring more challenges and increased costs.

Luxoft and LG Electronics declared their joint venture Alluto in the United States of America in March 2021, this new venture focuses on infotainment market.
