The stuff you keep in your must-have bag may make or break a day out with your little one, from diapers and wipes to ointment, nipple cream, and lip balm. Less is more when it comes to packing. Diapers and a change of clothes are two items you'll be able to keep in your diaper bag at all times. Others, such as breast milk and snacks, should only be thrown in before leaving the house. This not only keeps your bag from overflowing, but it also keeps spilt food from lingering for days. While you can't foresee all of your baby's needs, having a well-stocked diaper bag allows you to be ready to go at any time.

A Diaper Bag, also known as a nappy bag, is a storage bag having numerous pocket areas large enough to contain all of the necessities for caring for a baby. Diaper bags are usually tiny enough to fit on or beneath a baby carriage or stroller, and they can even be worn as a backpack.

Essential Items Carried in Diaper Bag-

·        Diapers. Make sure you've got at least five diapers in your bag — or two for every hour you'll be gone.

·        Wipes that can be thrown away. If space is a concern, try to bring a regular-size packet of wipes, although travel-size will suffice.

·        Cream for diapers. You never know when a case of diaper rash may appear.

·        Bags for disposing of diapers When there isn't a trash can nearby, you'll need bags to put soiled diapers and wipes in.

·        Wet bag that can be reused. Use this to keep dirty garments apart from the rest of your diaper bag.

·        A change of clothes is required. Two clothes should enough, with an additional onesie thrown in for good measure.

·        Burp towel. Bring a burp cloth to save your clothing.

·        Hand sanitizer is a must-have item. If it leaks, put it in a plastic bag.

·        Blanket that is small enough to take with you on your trip. This may be used as a car seat cover for when your baby falls asleep in the car, a ground cover for when you're playing in the park, or a nursing cover for when you wish to nurse in public.

·        Changing pad that can be carried along. Make sure it can be folded and tucked into a pocket.

·        Pacifiers. Pack at least two pacifiers and keep them in a sealable bag if you use them.

·        A first-aid kit that can be taken with you on the go. Bandages, first-aid cream, disinfecting wipes, liquid Tylenol, and a digital thermometer are among the kit's requirements.

When you're on the run with a newborn, there's no way to anticipate everything that can happen. However, with a little planning, the correct checklist, and some inventive packing, your diaper bag will quickly become your go-to resource for everything life throws at you.
