For instance, in April 2022, SecureAuth was granted four patents on password-less authentication solutions by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) to provide its behavioral biometrics technology.

The restaurant industry is already using biometrics technology to identify and track customers. Dallas-based BurgerFi and Malibu Poke have implemented biometric facial recognition systems to identify customers. In the retail sector, Amazon is leading the way with biometric payment systems. Using depth geometry and computer vision, Amazon has a scanner that can identify the hand of a person with just their hand. The technology can also be used to make payments in stores.

Many people are worried about germs on fingerprint scanners. The truth is, two percent of the population is extremely sensitive to germs on fingerprint scanners.
