Silicone Resins Witness Significant Demand Due To Their Wide Application in Paints and Coatings Sector

Silicone Resins

Silicone Resins is one of the most commonly used coatings for industrial applications. It has high melting power and excellent heat resistant properties that make it suitable for a range of applications. It is also known as a liquid lubricant, aqueous lubricant or a silicone lubricant. Silicone resins are used as coating materials because of their special properties, particularly those relating to excellent heat conductivity, resistance to corrosion, easy clean up and thermo-mechanical stability. In addition, the most significant impact on this property of the oil-based coating is related with the kind of silicone resin used.

Most commonly, Silicone Resins are prepared as emulsions or water-based mixtures. As such, they can be applied as paintings or as greases for grease guns and as adhesives in hand crafted items. There are a wide variety of other potential applications for these paints including sealing parts and components, forming friction materials, sealing thin sections of metal and plastic and even creating the friction seals of tires. Other potential uses of these paints will be outlined in the following paragraphs.
