Hybrid Electric Jets are majorly gaining popularity across unmanned aerial vehicle

Hybrid Electric Jets is being designed for use by UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) operators in the future for future combat. Hybrid electric jet systems are very small and fast but provide the same thrust as a conventional gasoline-powered engine. An electric jet is essentially an airplane with a hybrid electric engine because the energy output of lithium-ion batteries on board is considerably lower than traditional aviation gas, it therefore effectively doubles the flight time as compared to purely electric airplanes. Most electric jets is in the low-wing, high-wing, or straight-wing configuration. Electric Jet technology is still in its earliest stages and many potential applications have not yet been explored.

There are several factors that determine the performance of a Hybrid Electric Jets. These major factors include flight duration, maximum speed, weight, take-off run, engine efficiency, flight endurance, and fuel economy. Electric Aircraft technology is still evolving and there is no perfect solution for all scenarios. It's expected that within the next 10 years all hybrid electric jets will be using electric engines to power their engines. Many potential designs have been patented and are currently in production.

This technology will most likely be implemented in combat aircraft; however, there is no promise when it comes to commercialization. In the meantime, there are many companies in the aviation industry that are looking at ways to improve the fuel economy of commercial airliners by incorporating electric power into the in-flight entertainment system. Hybrid Electric Jets aircraft have potential applications across cargo transportation, single-aisle aircraft applications, military applications, environmental applications, and transportation of goods for various industries. Its use in aircraft improves the efficiency of the electric motors and batteries improves, the fuel burn rate of the aircraft will decrease.
