Vitamins Are Now Increasingly Being Used As Supplements in Daily Diets to Meet the Nutritional Need of the Body

Vitamins

Vitamins are water-soluble compounds with numerous roles in the body. Some function as signals, others as regulators of other materials, and others aid enzymes. Although the names are different from one another, recommended daily allowances are generally high enough to account for individual variation and normal environmental stress. Many vitamins are interrelated, and some interactions are cooperative, others reflect overlapping metabolic or protective roles. Vitamin B12, in particular, may have a structural dependency, however, this is not known for certain.

Water-soluble vitamins are easily absorbed from food, and a supplement containing them will also be absorbed. Water-soluble vitamins include vitamin A and vitamin C. The former are easily transported throughout the body, while the latter are easily dissolved in water. The action of vitamins depends on their solubility. Water-soluble vitamins are quickly broken down by the body and are excreted in urine. However, some vitamins are fat-soluble and require more frequent intake.

Although there is no consensus on the existence of Vitamin B, the nine-letter B complex contains five different types of folates. Vitamin B3 is also known as niacin, and is related to vitamin B1 which is responsible for the famous beri-beri. The discovery of vitamin B3 led to many other findings associating different compounds with essential bodily functions. While the recommended amount of vitamins for the average adult is a healthy diet that includes meat, fish, and different fruits and vegetables, some people may need supplemental supplements to meet their needs.

Furthermore, vitamin C is essential for iron absorption. It is naturally found in citrus fruits, however, can also be found in oranges, potatoes, and red and green bell peppers. Folic acid is a nutrient that helps human body absorb iron and protect the nervous system. Vitamin C can be absorbed from a variety of sources, including citrus fruits, oranges, and broccoli. Vitamin A and B are essential for the immune system and are found in plant foods. In June 2022, VOOST Vitamin Boost Brand announced the launch of retailers across the U.S.
