Safety Knives are spring-loaded knifes with a self-retracting blade, primarily used to open boxes and packaging. It can effectively cut through plastic, cardboard, and other types of packaging. Safety knifes are widely used in various end-use industries such as fiber industries, paints and coatings, etc. Moreover, they help in reducing the incidence of employee accidents and thereby help in reducing the cost of workers compensation. Safety knifes have different blade depth settings, as well as a lockout setting that helps avoid accidental blade exposure.

Used in many different industries, Safety Knives reduce the risk of serious knife-related injury in the work place. They are primarily designed to avoid cuts, abrasions, and other wounds and designed for use by working professionals. The majority of safety knives feature a blade that is made from one of a variety of materials including, but not limited to, ceramic, carbon, and stainless steel blades. A majority of cutting blades have flat top designs and diamond shapes to help keep the blade from slipping off during use.
