Intramucosal Implants have witnessed high adoption as compared to other dental implants since they are relatively painless

Intramucosal Implants

Intramucosal plugs are suitable for people who feel uncomfortable with having visible implants in their mouths. The new technology involved using micro-bends with the help of laser light. Instead of fixing into the bone, Intramucosal Implants are attached to the bone on the gum line. This way, they don't interfere with chewing, since they're not attached directly to the bone. This is why intramural dental implants have been preferred over the traditional types because they help eliminate a lot of dental problems associated with the traditional types.

Unlike dental implants, which are typically placed directly into the bone, Intramucosal Implants require bone grafting. This is a relatively painless procedure, but there are still some patients who experience a bit of discomfort. The reason for this is because the bone is actually pulled out from the jawbone in order to create the implant. After the bone grafting process is completed, all that remains is a metal pin used to seal the implant in place. Another advantage brought about by Intramucosal Implants is that, as opposed to using dentures, they don’t need to be removed and replaced when the need arises. When using dentures, one can take them out, clean them and reinstall them.
