Wireless networking is a method by which homes, telecommunications networks and business installations connect using wireless data connections between network nodes. LTE is the current standard for 4G wireless transmission worldwide. South Korea and Japan are ahead of other countries in having consistent accessibility to LTE network. Gigabit Wireless or Gi-Fi Technology is an emerging technology that uses millimeter waves for data communication. It fall under IEEE 802.11ad standard, operates at 60 GHz frequency range and capable of data rate up to 5-7 GB/Sec.

Gi-Fi Technology is fast emerging as one of the latest networking technologies. By providing high-speed, low cost, super high bandwidth internet access it is hoped that Gigabit to become the most preferred wireless technology being used at home and work of the near future. This new technology has been on the development for several years, but its actual application is just now becoming well known to the common man. The basic function of Gi-Fi technology is by enabling the internet to use large amounts of data at the same time which would allow internet users to connect to each other using the internet without slowing down the network or causing any traffic jams.
