The Power Management System ensures that there is proper power quality throughout the operations and also to prevent or mitigate potential hazards Most of the industrial sectors have been benefitted from the power management systems. The industrial sectors utilize it to reduce energy costs by making optimum use of electrical assets. The manufacturers of the goods and services utilize it as well, to ensure that their products can function properly and efficiently. This will ultimately lead to betterment in terms of performance and output.

The Power Management System ensures that there is proper power quality throughout the operations and also to prevent or mitigate potential hazards. The PMS can provide for a company's situational awareness. It improves situational awareness by allowing workers to recognize potential hazards and difficulties that they might face in the course of their tasks. It does this by establishing a connection between various electrical systems and equipment. The manufacturers of different machines and tools utilize the PMS to establish connection between all their machines and other equipment. This way all the machines on the job site can be managed properly and efficiently, thereby improving the power quality throughout the site.

The market is witnessing adoption of artificial intelligence based smart energy management systems. In July 2021, India-based Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited partnered with U.S.-based AutoGrid to deploy artificial intelligence based smart energy management system in Delhi, India. Such power management systems have many advantages and benefits. One major benefit is that it helps in eliminating waste and excessive power consumption. The system creates a real time data log of all the electrical power consumption and its usage. This enables the power management systems to identify and curtail unnecessary usage of power. It also reduces the need for service interruptions due to excessive usage of electricity.

Overall, the Power Management System is a great tool for improving the overall efficiency of an organization. This is because the system allows businesses to have real-time data collection and analysis. By doing this, the power management system monitors changes in the condition of equipment, machinery, and other vital pieces of machinery that contribute to the efficient operation of a business. This in turn, allows the business to determine how much savings it can make by improving its infrastructure.
