Globe Food Equipment Company Launches New Line of Vacuum Packaging Machines

Vacuum Packaging

Vacuum Packaging is a technique of sealing small items such as bottles, which removes air within the container before sealing. This technique involves putting items into a protective plastic sheet package, removing air within and sealing the pack. Small shrinkable plastic sheets are used to get a tight seal around the contents.

Vacuum Packaging is often used for perishables such as perishable foods. In this case, the seal is done using low-pressure nitrogen, with a tiny valve at its tip. The package is then placed in an oxygen enriched chamber to promote rapid evaporation of the oxygen from the liquid. High-pressure air or steam is also used to achieve the same result. In order to remove any trace of oxygen, the packaging material is placed into an ultra violet light source for about one minute, thus removing all traces of oxygen.

In August 2021, U.S.-based Globe Food Equipment Company launched a new line of vacuum packaging machines. One common application of vacuum packaging is for perishable foods such as meat that needs to be kept for longer periods of time, or other pre-packaged food items that need to be kept at room temperature. Vacuum sealing using these specially designed bags and boxes can also save on shelf life of these pre-packaged foods. Foods sealed using these bags stay fresh for a long time.

Vacuum Packaging is also used to extend the shelf life of food that is stored at room temperature. Pre-store foods such as meat, vegetables, fruits, and even dry goods such as bread can be sealed and stored at room temperature for extended periods of time when vacuum packaging is used. Food sealed in vacuum packaging with its own locking mechanism is more resistant to bacterial growth than foods that are left in their original containers. This can help prevent food spoilage that can result from bacterial growth.

Vacuum Packaging can also be used to increase product life. Since many products have to be shipped and stored in transit, they are exposed to air-borne organisms that can cause serious health problems. Vacuum sealing makes it possible for products to be properly sealed to prevent these small particles from getting into the products or into the containers themselves. This is important to prevent illness from occurring because of these particles getting into the body.
