Cardiac Monitoring Devices provide useful information to physicians about the heart's activity during exercise and normal resting periods

Cardiac Monitoring Devices (CMDs) are the most promising therapeutic modality available for preventing and treating many acute and long-term diseases including heart disease, congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, vasculitis, peptic ulcers, rheumatoid arthritis, renal calculi, hemodynamics, lactic acidosis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Cardiac monitored devices, like CMRs, are clinically accepted for monitoring the cardiac activity of patients in various stages of their disease. Patients have usually prescribed these monitoring devices after receiving counseling from their Cardiac Physician or other Cardiac Surgeon. These monitoring devices are designed to provide detailed, real-time information about the status of the heart of the patient.

Cardiac Monitoring Devices come in many forms, but they all have one common thing - they provide useful information to physicians about the heart's activity during exercise and normal resting periods. Most monitoring devices fall into one of two categories: ECDs or ECGs. ECDs are those devices used to measure heart activity during exercise, while ECGs are those used to measure abnormal heart activity during rest

Cardiac devices also called electrocardiograph (ECG) monitors or electroencephalographs (EEG) monitors are used to monitor the blood flow in the body and its variations. Different variations of electrocardiographs are used for different diseases. They are mainly used to evaluate the functioning of the heart in the absence of an ECG or EEG.

There are two types of Cardiac Monitoring Devices. These are Cardiac Rhythm Monitoring Devices and Electronic monitoring devices. Cardiac rhythm monitoring devices are portable and can be used along with the existing monitoring system, while electronic monitoring devices are implanted into the chest of the patient through surgery. According to the forecast period, either of these devices can be switched on and used to obtain information as per the changing cardiac rhythm. The features offered by the two devices are quite similar and both can be used to obtain accurate and reliable data from the patient at regular intervals.
